The journey of MAT Holding group begins in 1935, with the creation of Industrias Químicas del Vallés, a family business dedicated to the production of Bordeaux mixture, a copper-based fungicide used in agriculture since the turn of the nineteenth century. For the first time, this copper salts-based preparation – which up until that point was traditionally produced in Spain through exclusively artisanal means – would be industrially produced and sold on a large scale.
