Hebron was founded in 1961 in Barcelona (Vall d'Hebron) by two Catalan entrepreneurs. It began manufacturing additives for plastic and rubber. Other value-added products manufactured are pharmaceutical intermediates and fertilizers. In late 1989, Hebron was acquired by Otsuka Holdings to expand its ADCA business across Europe.
